Our Approach to Mental Health
The Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department is committed to reducing stigma and improving mental health outcomes across our region. We believe mental health is just as important as physical health, and we work to connect community members with the tools and support they need.
CredibleMind — Free for Our Community
We are proud to offer CredibleMind, a free online mental health platform available to all residents of our region. CredibleMind provides access to thousands of evidence-based resources including:
- Self-assessments for anxiety, depression, stress, and more
- Articles, videos, podcasts, and apps rated by mental health experts
- Personalized recommendations based on your needs
- Topics covering sleep, grief, relationships, trauma, and substance use
Mental Health First Aid
Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour, in-person course that teaches community members how to help someone experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge. You do not need to be a healthcare provider to take this course — it is designed for anyone who wants to help.
