About Our Vaccine Services
The Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department offers a wide range of vaccines for children, teens, and adults. Our trained public health nurses provide safe, affordable immunization services to help keep our communities healthy and prevent the spread of infectious disease.
We accept most insurance plans, Medicaid, and offer reduced-cost vaccines for uninsured or underinsured patients through the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program and other state programs.
Available Vaccines
We offer the following vaccines at all our locations. Some vaccines may require advance ordering — call ahead if you have questions.
Influenza (Flu)
Annual flu shots for all ages, including high-dose for adults 65+. Available August through April.
Walk-In WelcomeCOVID-19
Updated COVID-19 vaccines available for individuals 6 months and older. Recommended annually.
Walk-In WelcomeChildhood Immunizations
Full series of childhood vaccines per CDC schedule including MMR, DTaP, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and more.
Appointment PreferredShingles (Shingrix)
Recommended for adults 50+. A two-dose series administered 2–6 months apart.
Appointment RequiredPneumococcal (Pneumonia)
Recommended for adults 65+, or younger adults with certain health conditions.
Walk-In WelcomeTravel Vaccines
Hepatitis A & B, Typhoid, Yellow Fever, and other destination-specific vaccines. Consultation required.
Appointment RequiredTdap / Td (Tetanus)
Tetanus booster recommended every 10 years. Tdap recommended for adults who haven't received it.
Walk-In WelcomeHPV Vaccine
Recommended for preteens 11–12, with catch-up vaccination through age 26. Ask about eligibility.

What to Bring
- Insurance card (if applicable)
- Your immunization record or vaccination history, if available
- A list of any medications or allergies
- A parent or guardian must accompany minors under 18
- Photo ID for adults receiving certain vaccines
